I've been stumbling around the internet lately, looking at projects other people are crocheting. It reminded me that I used to make lovely things, too. It's been years. Seriously.
So guess what I'm doing now? That's right - I've got a huge bag of vibrant yarn and I'm working on a new blanket. I think it's turning out quite nice. This photo doesn't really do it justice.
love the colors. can you tell me what brand of yarn that is?
ReplyDeleteHi there! This blanket was made with Caron Simply Soft. I do love the colors - very bright and cheery. But I've been disappointed in this particular project long-term. The yarn became a bit fuzzy quickly, and the stitches have loosened up. I've never had this happen with crochet before, and I've been doing this for more than 30 years!
ReplyDeleteI used the same yarn for an African Flower blanket, but dropped down to a smaller hook, and was much happier with the results. I think my hook for the ripples was a J, and I switched to an H for the African Flowers. It made a huge difference.
