Stumble Upon is the Devil

Yup, it is. Don't sign up for it - it will suck away all your time.

I've been stumbling around the internet lately, looking at projects other people are crocheting. It reminded me that I used to make lovely things, too.  It's been years. Seriously.

So guess what I'm doing now? That's right - I've got a huge bag of vibrant yarn and I'm working on a new blanket. I think it's turning out quite nice.  This photo doesn't really do it justice.

  2. Hi there! This blanket was made with Caron Simply Soft. I do love the colors - very bright and cheery. But I've been disappointed in this particular project long-term. The yarn became a bit fuzzy quickly, and the stitches have loosened up. I've never had this happen with crochet before, and I've been doing this for more than 30 years!

I used the same yarn for an African Flower blanket, but dropped down to a smaller hook, and was much happier with the results. I think my hook for the ripples was a J, and I switched to an H for the African Flowers. It made a huge difference.
