Adorable. What else is there to say? The yellow one has been very sleepy. She does perk up, so I'm not worried about her. And one of the brown ones seems to be a little more aggressive than the others. Not bad, just a little bossy. Looks like the pecking order is already being established! Will have to wait and see how this unfolds.
This is great... We have a chicken coop at our Montessori School. The kids collect eggs daily and during low traffic hours the chickens are free to roam the school grounds. We have to work at keeping them out of the gardens (they dig them up), but otherwise it's been a great addition to the school. Fresh eggs are used in preparing school lunches!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteIn the village where we live there are several houses with free range chickens in their gardens, as well as one of the local farmers has chickens. One of the houses gets so many eggs they sell them ~ so we get free range eggs every week ~ just drive up to the house, at the end of the drive there's a little wooden stand with the eggs in 1/2 dozen boxes and a little tin box for putting in the money......very yummy, bye ~ Marianne
